An exclusive live stream

event on 9/23 featuring Kevin Carroll

RIP CITY...RISE UP! - will be a catalytic conversation from renowned author and speaker, Kevin Carroll, to spark and  inspire our Community, our Creativity and our Curiosity.  This event is a national fundraiser for Boys & Girls Club of Portland Metropolitan Area and Cerimon House.

The city of Portland has long been a media darling, garnering accolades for its eclectic and innovative businesses, lifestyle, and residents. The recent peaceful protests and civil unrest in the city have produced images of Portland that have left on some people a strong — and wrong — impression of who we are.

Cerimon House and our good friend, Portland-resident, Kevin Carroll (, want to flip the script on the current narrative about our city. On our 30-minute live stream, Kevin will share a timely message to kids and “former kids” (aka grownups) to encourage and inspire everyone to raise their game personally, professionally and civically. In addition to the livestream event at 6:30 p.m. on September 23rd, we will be recording the event and packaging it to be available for purchase for downloading and viewing anytime.

In demonstration of our commitment to the arts and Kevin’s message of creativity, we are also bringing music and illustration into the event.  DJ Black Daria will be setting the musical vibe for the event, and we have Alson, an illustrator from Sketch Effect, documenting Kevin’s spoken word presentation with an amazing --in real time-- graphic illustration that will subsequently be available for purchase.

Join us for an unforgettable Cerimon House event where all of us will be inspired and encouraged by Kevin’s timely message to listen, learn, lead, reimagine and rise UP!

All proceeds will go towards supporting The Boys & Girls Club of Portland Metropolitan Area and Cerimon House.
