Our Vision

A Sanctuary for the Humanities: a place to gather for evenings of great thought; the “go-to” location for Creativity, Curiosity, Community & Ceremony. Founded in 2009 by Randall Stuart, with a nod to the educational model of the Circuit Chatauqua, our events bring delight and knowledge to the assembled guests.

Inspired by historic properties here in Portland, Oregon, we see ourselves in a restored assembly hall – one with character and spirit. We have identified one such option, launched a vigorous capital campaign, and welcome you to join us in the effort.

We thank you in advance for contributing towards our innovative programming as well as the acquisition of a campus. We encourage you to visit our Capital Campaign page, and to make a tax-deductible donation this very May. It is the creative spark within you that will bring light to this House.

“The music that we have, cause it to sound. Make a fire within!”
