Cerimon House provides a nexus and beautiful space where people can connect through the arts, education, exploration, and celebration. We curate conversations with teachers, leaders, and philosophers to deepen the understanding of the human condition. Through performance and discussion, our At The Hearth Series offers artful conversations on a variety of social topics to engage the minds & hearts of our attendees. Cerimon House provides a safe, inclusive, culturally plural, and nonviolent convening space for our NE Portland neighborhood, the greater Metro area, and beyond.
OUR 4 C'S: COMMUNITY | CREATIVITY | CURIOSITY | CEREMONY
COMMUNITY: A variety of gatherings that focus on the healthy civic life of the population. A nexus of ideas and offerings.
CREATIVITY: The cultural arts brought to vivid life in performance, exhibits, craft, song, and language.
CURIOSITY: Educational classes, workshops, and conferences for students of all ages.
CEREMONY: Unique celebrations in a place of inclusivity and kindness.
Our founder, Randall Stuart, notes:
“In our first nine years, we’ve sailed the ‘4 C’s’, and found many a harbor. Initially itinerate, we now inhabit our very own vessel: the recently renovated former Alberta Lodge which has been readied through a diligent and focused restoration. We’re presenting a myriad of diverse cultural events, and trust that these offerings about the human condition are inspiring, illuminating, and truly hopeful.”
