Creativity

The Cultural Arts fuel the creative fire in our hearth.

The Humanities are a living experience: a community engaged in literature, philosophy, poetry, theatre, dance, spirit and song.

Art provides nourishment to feed the mind of a nation, each person in her place and time.

We create evenings of discourse featuring citizens, troupes, musicians and raconteurs who share word, song, art and literature. We offer our seasonal Salons which honor the wisdom of great thinkers – and, in the near future, for the wee ones: the Fables & Tales series. One of our historical inspirations is the Circuit Chautauqua.

We meet in beautiful places, including the Alberta Little Church, and soon in our restored building, the former Alberta Lodge [built in 1924]. Recent programming includes the workshop Sunday Musingsand our 2013 Cultural Initiatives  Closely Knit and Lysistrata Project Ten which are actions to do from home.
