Cerimon House is proud to present:
Playing in the heart of the remarkable Alberta Arts District:
dine, shop, and have a brief and artful affair with Colette.
Direct from a heralded run at the Canal Café Theatre, London, and an extended sold out run at The Marsh in San Francisco and Berkeley, California, Lorri Holt plays the infamous lover and writer Colette in a tour-de-force solo performance, taking us on an irresistible journey through her scandalous life, loves, and work as an author and activist. A pioneer for social change, Colette wrote the celebrated novels Gigi and Cheri. She blazed trails in many areas, from women’s empowerment, to respect for nature, to sexual liberation.
Colette was shunned by polite society for her scandalous life: her affairs with women and men, her appearing on stage scantily clad during her years in vaudeville, and her refusal ever to compromise in the pursuit of personal freedom.
An original play by Zack Rogow & Lorri Holt
Directed by Jayne Wenger & David Ford
