An Opening Reception
GALLERY OF SOULS:
An Installation & Exhibit of the Soul Box Project
Sunday, January 13th:
3:00pm Reception & words from founder Leslie Lee
Meet founder Leslie Lee, as well as a bevy of wonderful volunteers.
Please join us to celebrate this month-long installation in our art gallery.
The Soul Box Project is a remarkable artistic statement that combines origami, mosaic, quilting, and 3-dimensional installation, to create a provocative visual experience about the gunfire epidemic in America.
Through the dedication of founder Leslie Lee, and the devotion of volunteers,
this hand-folded project has flourished, and now opens for the public to experience throughout the new year: first here at Cerimon House in the Alberta Arts District, next on February 15th in the lobby gallery of the Oregon State Capitol in Salem, and then in a month long exhibit at the Multnomah Arts Center Gallery in April.
In its first public exhibit, Cerimon House welcomes the Soul Box Project installation:
it’s an immersive experience of being in the presence of the boxes in a deeply-felt way.
