Denny Dyke - My Journey on the Sand

Cerimon House is proud to welcome

and their guest for March:
"Circles In The Sand" artist Denny Dyke

The inimitable Denny Dyke is a beach artist of renown, recently featured on OPB's Oregon Field Guide. He's an American artisan like no other. The ocean sweeps the Bandon, Oregon beaches twice every day, revealing a fresh canvas for this one-of-kind labyrinth artist. What began as a solo pastime has grown to a community experience: Dyke invites the public to share in the design, grooming the paths with a staff and a set of rakes. Beachgoers then walk Dyke’s unique patterns. “The more people visit me on the sand, the more it keeps me coming back,” said Dyke.

Price:  $15 (cash, check, credit card at door)
Refreshments will be provided

Labyrinths are an ancient form of walkable art, designed for meditation and reflection. On the Bandon beach, the twisting paths mimic the tidal ebb and flow, turning and returning. No two labyrinths are the same.

Liminal Space Society is a newly formed group of friends who are fascinated by all of the ways that "liminal space" brings about re-enchantment. And so, they bring you a series of various experiences (workshops, conversations, activities, field trips) this year to explore and discover the things that are "betwixt & between". Come be together, and see what you think, or think what you see. Your LSS hosts are: Susan Alexjander, Jodi Lorimer, Traci MC Merritt, Ansula Press, Stephen Shibley, Randall Stuart, and Sandra Walden.
