AN IRIS STANDS TALL
A MOTHER'S JOURNEY, A DAUGHTER'S TRANSITION

An art installation of 46 pieces of original art - with an accompanying narrative - by local artist Annette Sabater, who's child began medical treatment to transition from an adolescent boy into a young woman at age sixteen. This unique exhibit traces the experience of a parent as she enters the new and mysterious journey, at times filled with doubt and grief. The collection is rendered in a combination of graphite and oil pastel by a parent who is exploring the deeper understanding of her child.

Funding has been made possible by both the Regional Arts & Culture Council,
and by the Puffin Foundation Ltd.
