July 25th: "The Day Out of Time" (An Annual Pause)
In several ancient traditions the annual thirteen moon calendar possesses one day that has no time at all. Here at Cerimon House, we create an original offering each year on July 25th. And we encourage you, wherever you may be, to take the day to pause in order to celebrate your artful self.
On Monday, July 25 from 3:00pm - 7:00pm, Labyrinth Network Northwest is teaming-up with Cerimon House to offer a late afternoon of a contemplative labyrinth walk. Come join us for this uncommon happening, enjoy touring our space, and walk the labyrinth in our main auditorium.
The labyrinth, created by Concordia resident Ansula Press, is an innovative one originally created for Burning Man. In its center is a 7 foot diameter structure called a Genesa Crystal which is illuminated by electroluminescent wire. The Genesa is a cuboctohedron which is big enough to stand in. That geometry is considered to be a shape that can amplify the intentions of those near it, by attracting, cleansing, balancing and finally releasing the amplified energies.
