Lifelines I

Letters From Famous People About Their Favorite Poem

This mellifluous performance was conceived and directed by local theatre artist Gemma Whelan– featuring nine wonderful local voices, and opening-up the conversation about world hunger.

Lifelines is a truly remarkable collection of poetry which was created when a group of secondary school students in Ireland wrote to famous people, asking them what their favorite poem was (and why) – and then published the collection to raise funds for famine victims in developing countries.

The Cerimon House Lifelines I ensemble included:
Ted Roisum, Mary McDonald-Lewis, Victor Mack, Gilberto Martin del Campo, Lynne Foster, Gemma Whelan, Sharon McDonald – with vocalist Colleen Raney & harpist Kerryann Foley.

Performed at Stonehenge Studios.
